What products and versions do you see in your Programs List in Control Panel?
Is it only Adobe Reader (different versions)?
Or Adobe Flash Player (different versions)?
Or Adobe Shockwave Player?
Or other Adobe software?
Basically you should only have one version of each product. (Except Flash Player, which can have an ActiveX and a plugin, depending on what web browsers you use.)
I have Adobe AIR, Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX, Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin, and Adobe Reader X (101.2) MUI....those are what is listed in my programs. I dont even know what they are really...
Adobe AIR is a runtime for AIR applications; it may have gotten installed together with Flash Player. Most likely you will not need it, and you can safely uninstall it.
Adobe Flash Player is used to view online videos, e.g. on news sites, or video sites such as Youtube.
The Flash Player ActiveX is the add-on for Internet Explorer.
The Flash Player plugin is the add-on for other browsers like Firefox.
Adobe Reader is the program that lets you see online or local PDF files. Most computer users do need to view PDF files from time to time.
OK great. Thanks so much for ur time
