Is there a way to make a copy of a RoboHelp project (yes, the whole project, not just a few files) as a backup?

Also, can you rename a project? If so, how?

Thanks!!!

In Windows Explorer, copy the entire project folder wherever you'd like.

In RH, open the copied project and select File > Rename Project. (Don't forget to also adjust the path name for the generated files of the new project, on the first wizard screen.)

Good luck,
Leon

Thanks.
Is there any way within RH to copy a project or do you have to go through Windows Explorer?

No. CTRL C and CTRL V if you are copying to the same drive.

However, you mentioned backups. I would recommend that you zip the folder holding the project and prefix the name with the date in YYMMDD format, then move the zip file to the network so that it gets backed up.

Using that date format, you get all your backup in the correct order.

I use the Zip to the network method every week!

But I make sure to select all files and folders within the project, except !SSL! as there is no need to backup this folder - it just contains the output which is generated whenever you make a build... Saves about 50% size on Zipping 🙂
