Remote development capabilities of Dreamweaver 5/5.5 (full/student/teacher) ?

      Hi all,

I read what i could find regarding the current versions (5/5.5) of Dreamweaver's ability to allow several remote users to devbelop a site but I'm still not clear on its capabilities.

I'm building a site on my local wamp server using DW CS5.  I have reached the point where i need help and would like to hire a second developer (that happens to be a student) to write parts of the site.  It would seem that  DW 5 and 5.5 have the ability (full or student versions) to allow a second developer to use another purchased copy of DW get remote access to the site files on my development server (just W7 x64 running wamp).  From what i read, DW has a basic method of notifying each developer which files are being used via the checkin/checkout feature.

      So my questions are:

      1. Can DW5/5.5 allow multiple remote users to access and develop local my site remotely?

      2. If yes, are there any problem with its collaberation feature.

      3. Will my existing DW5 and a remotely installed DW5.5 work together nicely?

      4. Does the checkin/checkout feature prevent another developer from accessing and overwriting files checked in by another developer?

      5. Are there any limitations with the DW5.5 student/teacher version that would not allow remote development with my local copy of DW5?

      Thanks.

      Update:

Some further research indicates that DW5/5.5 works with Subversion, an apache open source version control system and that this is the correct way to setup a project using multiple remote developers.

The current version of Subversion is: 1.7.2. and it appears that DW5 and DW5.5 use 1.6.6 and 1.6.9 respectively.

      Other questions:

      1. Are there any major problems to using SVN 1.6.9 with DW5.5?

      2. Is it better to use the current version (1.7.2) of SVN with another product other than DW5.5 or is it better to stick with DW5.5 and use SVN version 1.6.9?

      thanks again.
