Your best bet is to check with Asus. They publish memory compatibility charts for every motherboard.

Well that part number is for a set of two 4 GB modules. You probably have a very good chance that they would work as a set 6, but it is not a guaranteed set. If this is an upgrade from a lesser amount of RAM for you it would help your performance. But as far as allowing higher overclocking, I am not sure that you will see any major help. The current Newegg price for this set of two modules is $47 each.
It probably is OK, but just try it. For $ 25 you can't go wrong. You said a great price, right?
