Hope you're well.
I've created my resume in InDesign. At the top it's got a header that starts at 0.652 inches.
I would like to use that same header on a cover letter in Microsoft Word. However, even though I've made the top margin .652 in the Word document, the header comes in higher than that when I insert it into the Word document.
Anyone have experience resolving these kinds of things?
Thanks so much for your help.
I have another way of doing this.
Do your artwork up in Indesign place a box the full size of the page with a paper fill behind the artwork If fonts alter in the opening in illustrator consider converting them to Outline before pdf export, export that as a pdf and open in illustrator, export it as Anne says in the article that bob pointed out. Open a Word document to the correct size put all margins headers and footers to 0mm and place the png file as a water mark with no transparency.
Set up your margins and away you go.
This works best if each page has the same artwork.
