    Application Class Entry Point?

      Can you specify the entry point for the application class? It seems like its the constructor only? You should be able to specify the static main method.

          In a Flex application only the root Application instance is the first instantiated object. It is not like other platforms where you have a main() method. Your root Application is instantiated and things start there. One way for you to handle having a main method is to set a method handler for the even initialize of the root application

          -- sample root application --
          <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
          <mx:Application xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" initialize="init()">
          <mx:Script>
          <![CDATA[
          private function init():void
          {
          //code here

          }
          ]]>
          </mx:Script>
          </mx:Application>
