I scanned a document and it was sent to my email as a pdf. I can open the document from my email, but I need to save it to my computer so I can upload it for others to see.
I'm able to save it, but when I try to open the saved pdf this message comes up: "Adobe Reader could not open 'abc.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
What am I doing wrong/how can I fix this?
Thanks for your help!
I'm able to save it, ...
How do you save it? What is your email client?
Most email clients have a feature 'Save Attachments'; did you use that?
I'm not sure, but I think the email client is Sun Java.
The only way I can save the attachment is to open it first - I click on the attachment link, which automatically opens the file - there's no option to save it before opening. Once the document is open I can save it.
But, once its saved and I go to check it before uploading/after uploading, the file won't open.
Which version of Adobe Reader are you using and which OS are you working on?
