I'm using CQ5.4 and installed the feature packs for Adobe omniture integration. This feature is in the Analytics tab of the Page Properties dialog. When we update any content on the blueprint page, those changes along with the analytics configuration are pushed to its live copies because we're using the push on modify configuration. This is problem because the analytics configuration for the live copies are overridden by those of the blueprint so the report suites are incorrect for the live copies.
Typically, on other widgets in dialog, there is the ability to cancel inheritance for live copies via the lock button. However, in the AnalyticsPanel, we're not able to cancel inheritance which is causing our sitecatalyst tracking to report to wrong report suite.
Is there a fix for this?
I did some debugging and found that the MSM Rollout Manager has configuration to exclude certain properties from being rolled out for live copies. There are exclusions for page properties and content node properties under jcr:content.
My solution is to add the "cq:.*" exclusion to "Excluded Paragraph Properties" in the felix configuration of com.day.cq.wcm.msm.impl.RolloutManagerImpl service.
Hope this helps someone.
