I like to micromange everything in my life--including my AE logs. But when I tell AE to log "Plus per frame info" once, it does fine, but just like my employees, I have to tell it every single time to do the same thing. Is there a way to have AE default to this setting so in case I forget to click it on?
This is especially useful when doing render farming (multi-machine rendering). I like to see which computer is slacking off so I can lecture it in the morning.
Nope. Unfortunately that is one info that is not sticky because it is not stored anywhere in a preset or setting. You could probably create a pre-render script to automatically check it and set the option....
Thanks, and bummer!
I'm not familiar with scripting in AE. Know of any site off hand that could get me started? Sounds like a great idea and should be very simple, I'd imagine.
You could try the After Effects scripting forum right here on the Adobe site. The link is either on the right or at the top left depending on which screen you're looking at. Or you could always try http://aenhancers.com
Both are excellent resources for those wanting to learn scripting.
