In the application preferences you have an option when relinking to maintain the size or maintian the scale. In this case you would want to maintain the scale. That won't fix the fitting and frame size, though, so you either need to do that manually, or use a script. One approach would be to fit the frame to content on the first one, then select the rest and choose Object > Transform > Transform Again Individually. If you were to use this method, you don't actually even need to relink, as long as you want to do the identical thing to all of them or to a group of them. You could just scale the image you have, then use the same transform again technique.
Thanks again, Peter. I unchecked Preferences > File Handling > Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking. Then I relinked and the artwork changes. However, I have to select each one and apply Fitting > Fit Frame to Content (using the keyboard equivalent).
Is there a faster way of doing this? Is there a way to select all linked artwork and globally apply Fit Fram to Content?
That's what I was talking about in my earlier post. To do them all at once, you'll need a script.
