Wrong configuration. the CPU is good, the PSU will probably not even start, the disks are lousy, the SSD is a waste of money, the video card underpowered and overpriced, etc.
Thanks for your post!
I read your thread before,
I'm just trying to figure how to arrange your hardware recommendations with what I was told before...
What you think of this one?:
What SSD do you suggest?
I think I should use one for photoshop and daily use...
Thanks a lot,
Much better. Two remarks, one the mid tower case, I would definitely go for a big tower, second one, is the PSU a Gold label one and is 700W enough, given that you will add several disks in the near future?
Check the link I gave with full instructions on how to calculate the required wattage in the previous link above.
Thanks again for your post, Harm!
I read your article. It's very helpful!
I don't think I'm going to add several disk in the future.
I'm only editing short semi-pro HD videos, mainly using Photoshop, maybe doing some small AFX projects (hopefully Nuke in the future).
Probably I'm gonig to add one, maybe two disks. Maybe a second video card.
Do you still think it's necessary to go for a big tower?
The PSU is gold label and very well tested.
What disks would you recommend?
Thank you so much for your help!
A full tower case is better for cooling (airflow and number of case mounted fans) and being able to run all the cables
Two more questions:
(I'm sorry if these question were already asked. I couldn't find an answer... )
1. Should I get a GTX 560 Ti with 2GB oder a GTX 560 Ti 448 with 1,25 GB?
2. Do I need the Asus P9X79 WS or would a Pro be enough?
As I'm mainly using Photoshop not Premiere I would prefer the best for the former.
Thanks for your help!
