I think the problem is that your path contains an apostrophe character as in "Troy's Stuff"
This apostrophe might be the cause of your problem, since error 1324 refers to an error involving an invalid character.
Try copying the installer to folder with a different name that doesn't contain an apostrophe and run it from there.
I never set the path to this folde I just download and it automatically directs it to this folder which creates the error. I don;t know why it is doing this. Any idea to change this path or change it to a default path?
To workaround the problem, download the standalone installer from the FTP site below:
When prompted to save the file, put it in a suitable location and then run the installer from there.
Actually, I have had the problem fixed via a separate forum (www.spywareinfoforum.com). They heled me correct a Hijacekd search engine in Firefox as well as this issue.
This is a great website for spyware and malware removal as well as for software problems and other comp issues.
The last thing I did (which finally did the trick), as per the spywareinfoforum.com recommendation, was use the MS Fixit function available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549

Thanks for the assistance!
This did not work for me on an FMLE re-install
