Please let me know the following:
1. Which version of Adobe Reader X is installed on his system?
2. Is the issue happening on all printers or only on the one mentioned above?
Version is 10.1.2. We have not tried any other printers because this one is the closest to him. Others print the same catalogs to this printer but use Acrobat Pro (different versions). The only other printer he could print is the same model.

Could you please try and reinstall the printer driver on this user's machine and see if it solves the issue.
Also, do all PDFs with images produce the same output from this user's machine?
