Rotating Animated Slideshow with Navigation Buttons

I am trying to create a slideshow in Flash Catalyst that can do tow things.  First is the ability to rotate through the pictures on its own.  Second, I want to setup buttons that will allow me to navigate through the pictures while the slide show is running.  I have managed to create a slideshoe that can navigate through all of images, but it does not rotate on its own.  Is there a way that I can make my slideshow do both, or am I limited to one choice or the other?

You can add that functionality with Flash Builder and some ActionScript code to enable the auto rotation. Because I would imagine that once you jump to an image, you will want to stop the auto rotation, then provide a method to start it again.

But, I would actually suggest looking at using jQuery and one of it's plug-ins to acheive this instead. Unless it going to be part of an actual Flex based project.
