They are all properties, listed as properties and directly accessible from actionscript. I have no idea why you think they aren't!

Property Defined By constructor : Object
A reference to the class object or constructor function for a given object instance.
Object enabled : Boolean
Setting this value to false will stop the validator from performing validation.
Validator listener : Object
Specifies the validation listener.
Validator maxLength : Object
Maximum length for a valid String.
StringValidator minLength : Object
Minimum length for a valid String.
I know what the problem is. Something is wrong with my instance of Google Chrome and it is not displaying the ActionScript documention correctly. Hard to believe I know but various things are missing when viewing in my Google Chrome. It works fine in IE. Sorry for wasting people's time.
Make sure to set the product and runtime settings up top in the documentation or it wont display all.
It does that to me all the time...
