Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask.
I don't understand how I can set the same dimensions and dpi in Illustrator and Photoshop, but have them mean completely different things.
I am making graphics in Illustrator and copying and pasting them to Photoshop. I set the artboard in Illustrator to the same dimensions as the photoshop image, but when I paste in, the pasted object is about 5 times too big.
The dimensions are:
800 px wide
978 px high
Why isn't it the same in both programs?
Do you mean on screen? Then, check if you are looking at the image at 100% in both programs.
If not, check if the document is not a 72ppi in one of the programs.
PEC-- Thank you, I dropped the dpi down to 72 in PS and the sizing is now the same. But won't that give me bad resolution when I go to publish?
