Nancy O. Jan 31, 2012 4:03 PM (in response to ottz0)It's not what we think that matters. HTML5 web standard is not finalized. What do you plan to do in HTML5 that you can't already do with X/HTML?

Ben Pleysier Jan 31, 2012 7:58 PM (in response to ottz0)HTML5 boilerplate is a great way to go if you want to learn the technology of the future. Unfortunately, the CSS is slightly bloated, meaning that you can remove those elements that do not appear in your documents (site), but it is always easier to remove that it is to add.
What Nancy says is correct (as usual ) in that XHTML will do all that you can do, but there is also no reason not to use HTML5 and one good reason to use HTML5 is called progress.

billhdz Mar 1, 2012 1:50 PM (in response to Ben Pleysier)I agree, we need to move forward. The way to make our lives easier as web designers in the long run is to start using HTML5 and CSS3 now.
Otherwise, nothing will change. Lets not get in the way of progress. Lets embrace it now. Now is the perfect time. Today.
