I'm trying to build an interactive document with InDesign and I've followed all the tutorials I can find.
Created buttons on the master page for "go to next page" and "go to previous" page. They don't work in preview or in export. I tried using the supplied buttons and I tried making my own with objects.
Also, when I export the document as PDF Interactive, I just get a black screen with two buttons (that don't work right). None of my design elements display.
When I export the document as PDF print, I can view the document but the buttons do not work.
I'm using CS5 on Mac OSX.
Have spent hours on this and fear it's something very simple. I've checked preferences and document set up and all seems fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
JUST found the fix. Black background needed to be in separate layer.
I have no idea why, as it was "sent to back" but that is the fix.
The buttons and the hyperlink now work.
Thank you. I'm sure resetting the preferences was also useful.
