It's hard to say without knowing more about your machine.
What operating system are you using? How fast is your processor, how much RAM do you have and how much clean, free, defragmented space is on your C or main hard drive?
If you have a Windows machine, have you manually gone to Windows Update and ensured you have even the non-critical updates?
Have you ensured you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple? And have you downloaded Adobe Air from Adobe? These are both required by the program and the inspiration browser.
Also, what is the exact, and full text of the error message? That might be helpful, as well.

The recent update to Inspiration Browser broke it for me as well. Works fine within the applications (PRE & PSE) but both Welcome screens show (wrongly) that Inspiration Browser needs to be updated.
