    still no user preferred Catalog Settings preference in LR4

      Why is it still the case that every time I create a new catalog and even worse, when I export a catalog the Catalog Settings preference set dosn't transfer?

      The base settings are:

      General:

      Backup up Catalog--->Once a week, when exiting Lightroom.

      File Handling:

      Standard Preview Size-->1440 pixels

      Preview Quality-->Medium

      Automatically Discard 1:1 Previews-->After 30 days

      stop it already.  just stop it.

      I don't want LR backing up anything, because I already have a triple redundancy DAM in place.

      I want 2880 pixel previews of medium preview quality and I Never want to discard my laborioiusly created 1:1 Previews because the volumes of images that I use LR to catalog cannot all be mounted at the same time so the master catalog and previews that I have stored on a 540 mb/s RAID-0 refers out to 15+ volumes of offline storage and I always want to keep the 1:1 proxies to view at 100% so an external volume doesn't need to be mounted to make focus critical selections in the library.

      When I export a catalog subset to use on my laptop, I want my same settings to stay in place so I'm not prompted to backup when quitting and so my 1:1 previews don't disappear, especially when I may not have or want to have access to the RAW images I'm browsing.
