You mentioned that you are accessing a mysql database from this application. Clarifying how you are using flex to connect to that database would be helpful in debugging the problem. Are there server side services? Are you using remoting? web services?
Am using HTTP Service to connect to the database.
You may have already tried this, but when I first tried to use crossdomain policy files I had trouble determining exactly where web root was.
Can you see your crossdomain policy file from a web browser?
You should be able to type:
http://myServer:myPort/crossdomain.xml and see the file.
What server are you clients being served from?
On what server does your httpservice reside?
Yes. I did try that. And I saw the xml file. Wamp5 Server.
Are you using IE6 to display your application?
I'm a bit confused on your answer to where the client is served from and the httpService.
The client swf and http files are on server Wamp5
and you httpService is on Server ?
so your flex code is calling an http Service on Server ?
I assume the crossdomain.xml file is on Server ?
Yes. The crossdomain is on the Server. I have used IE7 and firefox to view the application. I moved the application from my development system the way it was without changing anything. The crossdomain file is the only thing I added. Which is in the webserver root.
Is there a specific way to deploy a flex application using <mx:HTTPService/> to request and post data?
