Weclome to the forum.
Unfortunately, with zero info to go on, it is hard to tell. First, I would suggest looking over this ARTICLE, and providing more to go on.
Next, and at 99%, it sounds like there might be an issue, after Transcoding, but before the Vobulator kicks in, with the writing to the proper VIDEO_TS Folder. That could be something like a Stop Marker at the end of the Timeline.
Last, what is the amount of defragmented free-space on the destination drive?
Good luck, and please let us know more,
I don't know if any of these links are specific to PE, so read to see if the ideas help

Thank you for your response to my problem. I found the link to DVD discs helpful. I was trying to burn movies to DVD discs that although unused were several years old. After reading the link about how discs can be altered and ineffective, I tossed the old ones for new discs. Worked perfectly! What an easy solution. Thanks.

Great news. While "age"should not be THAT big a deal, the brand certainly CAN be a biggie. For DVD-Videos, I recommend Verbatim, Taiyo-Yuden and Falcon Pro blank media.
I also keep my multi-drive/burner firmware updated.
Good luck, and happy authoring,
