    Preloader: SWFs load before 100%

    THEwagner
I am loading external SWFs into a MCL. Everytime a new SWF starts to load my preloader, which is movieclip, becomes visible. The problem is that the SWFs become visible before the preloader reaches 100% and start to play. How can I ensure that the SWFs don't show or start playing until the preloader reaches 100%? Thanks for the replies!!!

Why not to set _visible of your "targetMC" (see your code sample) to
false and turn it back just on the 100% reach? Also use
targetMC.gotoAndPlay(1) at the same time, if it is nesessary.

          HTH!

The SWFs i'm trying to load have MP3s and embedded video in the timeline. I think this is what's causing the SWF to load before hand. If I delete the layers that have these elements, the preloader works fine.

If this is the issue, is there a workaround to have the SWF load at 100%?
