      First, English is not my native language, so please excuse me for my grammar.

       

      My Engine already is using blittin to draw sprites, but every asset is in a different png file. Could integrating Atlas sprite sheet, putting all sprites that are related in a single file, like all in-game sprites in one png file, menus in a single png file, texts, etc, could this optimize memory performance? Or since am already using blittin, am just complicating myself by trying this? Why am asking this is because am having some memory issues, in every state change, like from menus to in-game, I destroy all sprites, and call the garbage collector through System.gc(), in the loading screen, but it seems there is little to no change, memory just doesn't clean. Blittin the Atlas sprite sheet instead of blittin every png file, could ease some of my problems?
