Thanks! But when I meant book I meant my Sony ereader device :(
Adobe Digital Editions supports many SONY devices. There's a list of them
in the Adobe HELP pages, or click
I've seen a lot of comments about difficulty getting the SONY T1 to be
recognized, so if that's the type you have, perhaps searching the forum
will be helpful. One other note: once you've registered your SONY ereader,
the SONY bookstore will download a few files to your computer. If those
files aren't there, it appears that Digital Editions won't recongize the
ereader, whether it's a T1 or not.
The general process is that you register your ereader, and it's smart to
use your Adobe ID and password to do that, because that information will be
written to the registration file loaded on your ereader. When that's done,
you should disconnect your ereader logically and then physically from your
computer. In Windows, you Eject the ereader using Windows Explorer (NOT
Internet Explorer), My Computer, or the icon in the right-hand corner of
the System tray at the bottom of your screen. Watch the ereader's screen -
it may display messages telling you that it's updating itself. When that's
done, you can unplug it from your computer, then plug it in again, and your
computer should recognize it. When it's recognized, you can start ADE,
which should display the ereader on the bookshelf side of Library View
(left-hand side). When it does, you can just drag and drop ebooks to it.
When you're done, you can eject the ereader again, as above. Your ereader
should do the same 'updating' thing, and then your ebooks are ready to read.
Hope this helps!
