Recording in MOV on that camera is for editing in Final Cut Pro.
For other software, don't use the MOV recording option.
I know that but we cannot redo the record now. I can open the files in FCP but not in Adobe Premiere but my partner needs it to open in Adobe Premiere.
What can we do now?
I'm not sure if that camera uses the HDV8 codec (GSpot could tell you),
but I recently took delivery of 40 minutes of .mov camera files that used
the HDV8 codec that I was unable to import to Premiere (win764).
I ended up flipping all of the material using the WinFF video converter.
It took forever, but the resulting media files were editable.
If the qt files are in fact HDV8, for the best quality conversion using WinFF you should
be sure to retain the same image/pixel aspect ratio and frame rate when converting.
It should be email@example.com.
