Sorry brothers i am a bit new with After Effect
Windows 7 Ulimate
Cs4 After Effect and Premiere
I am trying to Import an entire project, which contains about 5 to 6 channels of video and 1 track audio, it imports everything the way I wanted , but the only problem is that NOW I have over 60 tracks of video alone, basically what happened each cut got its onw channel or track now .
The problem I am facing is , lets say I wanna apply this one effect to channel 5 , which was just a person playing guitar, basically every clip has its own channel , is there any ways I could leave it the way I had on my premiere , so I don't have to look for each little clip
In After Effects, every layer is on its own "track". It doesn't work like Premiere Pro or an other NLE. After Effects is designed differently because it's for a different purpose.
If you want to apply an effect to a group of layers, you can precompose the layers together and apply the effect to the precomposition layer.
Since you're new to After Effects, I very strongly recommend that you work your way through the basic learning materials before trying to use After Effects.
Many thanks Todd, you are always great help .
I am gonna follow your links and hope everything goes smooth .
