Can you align while ignoring superscript?

I guess I have two questions. The first: what's the best practice to align text when there's a TM symbol, or other similar superscript? I feel like the top sample looks odd, but maybe I've just been staring at it for too long. Is there a way to align text while ignoring superscript? I've been aligning with a tab stop(bottom sample), but if the text is resized, or edited this casuses problems. Using a TM symbol and anchoring it makes no difference. I can float a TM symbol, but considering I'm doing quite a few of these it's only a matter of time before one ends up where it doesn't belong. Paragraph style is also no good, as the text size is always changing depending on the package size. It's getting old babysitting these headline, so I'm hoping someone can offer some suggestions. Thanks.
