So I'm trying to get the hang of this program.
I have a bunch of mpeg files that are edited to the orginal source of 1280x720 otherwise known as "letterbox". The other source is 23.976fps,
What I would like to do is the following:
Use the edited clips that I already have:
Convert them into a format where I can import them back onto adobe premiere elements 10 and edit further
Keep the same dimensions of 1280x720
Not lose any of the picture quality
I have no clue of which video codec or file to convert them to. I would prefer to keep them mpegs.
Please help me.
These FAQ entries are a good starting point for file conversion:
Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
You also are likely to have a problem trying to use 1280x720 at 24p at the standard that you're trying to convert all files to. That's probably not the best format to work with -- but I guess it depends on what you're ultimately going to do with your video. How do you plan to distribute it? On BluRay or DVD? Online? On YouTube? to an iPad, iPod or smartphone? Once we know that we can better recommend which format you should be using for a target to convert all of your videos to.
And what sources are your videos coming from? What models of camcorder are they from and what format and resolution are they in?
