Hey Scooby Gang,
I have an issue catching a custom event that I am firing.
I have a view, let's call it "A" which calls a webservice "B", and when that webservice returns with data it fires a custom event "C". "A" is listening for that custom event but never hears it being broadcast.
I have trace() lines in each method of the classes and they all fire in turn except the listener.
Maybe I am getting this wrong, I can't find any posts online that relate to broadcasting an event and catching it in another place.
I don't want to listen for it in the webservice dispatcher because that is in a separate package, and so I would have to do a back reference to the application, which to me just seems ugly.
Thanks for any insights/examples.
Do you dispatch the event on an instance of B and also listen on that instance?
