    Mac Pro or iMac?

    rossfranks Community Member

It's been a while since I looked into getting a new mac and was wondering if it was worth the money getting a Mac Pro or an iMac.

Comparing these links the iMac is so much cheaper for pretty much the same thing, or am I missing something?

I'd be using this for Blender, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...

      Thanks in advance.

Mac Pro has a much more robust processor, can hold more memory, 4 hard drives internally, a CD/DVD drive and a wider choice of graphics cards. The Mac Pro does not come with a display of any size. You can attach one or more displays as you like.

The iMac uses less power, takes up less space, has one fixed size display and has no CD/DVD drive.

Either one will work well with the software that you list.
