Rob Dillon Feb 20, 2012 9:34 AM (in response to rossfranks)Mac Pro has a much more robust processor, can hold more memory, 4 hard drives internally, a CD/DVD drive and a wider choice of graphics cards. The Mac Pro does not come with a display of any size. You can attach one or more displays as you like.
The iMac uses less power, takes up less space, has one fixed size display and has no CD/DVD drive.
Either one will work well with the software that you list.
