I don’t have Lion but I’ve heard this type of complaint about scrollbars. I think there’s a setting in the system preferences for scrollbars and it’s there that you can set them to always.

Is the preference to show the bar all the time.
Arrows are gone. Gone and not coming back. You can grab the bar and move it if you want. You can use your hand tool. You can adjust your mouse to suck less. I had some troubles with the Magic Mouse at first and found a nice workaround. I threw it in the trash and got a Logitech. Worked like a charm!
The Magic Trackpad works great in InDesign though. I'd highly recommend giving that a try. You'll probably never want to use the scrollbars again if you use it.
Chalk the death of arrows up to the tablet craze and Apple's design decision to shave a few pixels of horizontal space, which wasn't nearly as precious as vertical real estate.
Hi Bob and Macinbytes,
So i am not crazy :-). Pity the arrows are gone for good. But i will certainly give the logitech and.or the trackpad a go. I think more people will have the same trouble.
Thanks again guys.
I found the setting to make them always visible, but this little grey bar is
a pain. Please give me back the arrows!
Thanx again for your reply!
Talk to the folks in Cupertino.
