I don't think you can, sorry. There's a possibility you can dig open the preferences file and it may be in there.

You can create custom commands which set the grid to your desired size,
but it won't do it as a default setting.

How would one set a custom command?
I sent this is as a feature request. Really surprised this is not in this product.

Have the history panel open when you edit the grid, then select the edit
grid line in the history panel and click on the little floppy disc icon -
that will give you a chance to name the command which can then be
implemented from the commands menu.
