1. Re: Modifying an Aggregator TOC
RodWard Feb 23, 2012 5:48 PM (in response to RoboColum(n))I'm not sure that you can change the width of the TOC in Captivate 4, but you can definitely set the width in Captivate 5x. There's a field for it in the TOC settings.
With Aggregator projects, one of the aggregated SWFs is nominated as the one that controls TOC settings. (It's usually shown in green text within Aggregator.) So if you can control the size and colour scheme etc of this master project, you can control is for the TOC used across all projects in the Aggregator.
You can override the default project information (supplied by the master project) by clicking the Info button at the bottom of the Aggregator window. This calls up an Aggregator TOC Info dialog in which you can specify the information seen at the top of the Aggregator TOC.
If you want to change the names of columns in the TOC itself (e.g. Slide Title, Status etc) you might try Chris Dorna's TOC Modifier widget: http://www.dorna.nl/?p=1232
I'm not positive about how it handles Aggregated TOCs but it's highly recommended for normal TOC modifications.

Lilybiri Feb 24, 2012 12:19 AM (in response to RodWard)Just to confirm: You cannot change the width of the TOC in CP4, it is fixed to 250px. This is new from 5.0 on. Colum, why are still on CP4

3. Re: Modifying an Aggregator TOC
RoboColum(n) Feb 24, 2012 2:06 AM (in response to Lilybiri)Thanks everyone for helping me with this. RodWard I'll try changing the default project as you suggest. Lieve unfortunately cost is an issue for us. We use Adobe's TCS suite and there are five of us with licences. Plus we share files with the trainers who have FrameMaker and Captivate licences. They'd also need to upgrade if we do. All in all it adds up to £10k+ which I have to justify. Being able to adjust the TOC size is not sufficient reason to spend that sort of money. One day!
