I think Alaska State Troopers is a good example of one.
It's sometimes called "The Kid Stays In The Picture" effect. Also called 2.5 D and Camera Projection.
You separate a photo into foreground, background and middle ground elements, fill in the holes, then stack them up in 3D space and animate a camera move. There's bunch of tutorials on the technique. Try a Google search. I'm answering from my phone so I can't post links now.
