Error Message when Transferring to Nook

    mickylynn

I recently got a new laptop.  Now when I attempt to transfer books I checked out from the library to my Nook, I receive and error message which states "No permission to copy documents here".  I tried uninstalling the program and re-installing it, but to no avail.  Please advise.

Fiddling with the software won't do anything for this error - it has to do

with the digital rights assigned to the ebook by the publisher or

distributor.  Yes, you can put it on your laptop, but the message says

that's as far as it can go - regardless of what you think you can or should

do with the ebook.  Don't blame ADE - blame the Digital Millenium Copyright

Act of 2000 and its implementation by ALL of the companies that make

          software to implement it.

Take a look at the permissions.  In ADE Library view, put your cursor on

the small arrow next to the ebook's name.  A drop-down menu will appear.

Click on 'Item Info'.  A new screen will appear that shows the information

about the ebook.  About in the center is the digital rights section.

          Hope this helps!
