Failing updates mean that the installer database somehow got locked, which can relate to other updates for other products having done something wrong or introduced version conflicts for shared components. Short of wiping everything with the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstalling from scratch there is no easy way to fix this. If the updates do not contain any critical fixes rlevant for your work and you don't feel like spending the time, just leave it as is...
