Is this a DPS question or a SWF question? If DPS, there’s a dedicated DPS forum here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/dps
If so, please post there in the future but the overlay creator panel has an autorun choice. For SWF, not really sure.
If it's for SWF, I don't think InDesign can do it. Petteri handles the difficult SWF questions, and there may be a way of doing it with a script or one of his products.
Yes, its for SWF. I came up with a non-multi-state object work-around, but I am surprised that you cannot do it straightforwardly!

I have published a small free work-around for automatic page-turn, but it´s not multi-state-object based either. My solution can be downloaded from:
Unzip the package and replace issue.swf with your own SWF exported from indesign. There´s a loader that stops after first round and one that keeps looping... non-looping one is default. If you want make it loop, simply trash loader.swf and rename loader_with_loop.swf ----> loader.swf
Upload all the files together to your server.
Here is my work-around that satisfied the client. All the stacked graphics were aligned on each other. Instead of turning them into a multi-state object, I left them individual and applied an Appear animation to them. In the timing panel, I selected them all and clicked the Play Together button. Afterwards, I applied the delay of 3 seconds to each one. We also added a fourth one under the three, to act as the initial image that is showing when the delay of 3 seconds begins to show the the other three. Works completely unattended.
Earlier, in making it a MSO, I couldn't set it to play On Page Load, so I had to abandon that method, since it wanted a button to click it into motion.
Easy once you do it; but not intuitive at all!

We needed to do the same thing as you and came up with the exact same workaround (MSO's don't work) but can you get yours to loop ? If I have say 10 images, I want them to display 1 - 10, then go back to 1 and loop until you leave the page.
If I try to loop, it only seems to apply to the individual image, not the collection of individual images.
Make sure you loop the timing of the separate animations while all are selected in the Timing panel; do not loop the animations in the Animation panel.
Also, in case you haven't figured it out already: you might want Hide Until Animated and Hide After Animating both switched on (under Visibility in the Animation panel).
I'm trying to create a simple animation similar to what's been described here and I'm stuck! I have three images each with a fade out animation and two second delay which reveal the image underneath. Simply stated, I'd like this animation to loop continuously. The individual animations work as expected. Then in the timing panel I've selected all to play together and loop - here the first playback is fine but after, each image pops on / off screen and just continues looping like this.
Petteri, you're solution sounds feasible but it's no longer downloadable.
I hope to create this animation in InDesign and export as a SWF without Flash if possible.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. thanks!
SWF is Flash!
Understood. Any feedback regarding the animation?
