    Debug is doing weird things

Hi - I think I have a bug but Adobe seems not to accept a problem without getting you to pay. When I go into Flash Builder debug my breakpoints are recovered somehow from an old run and new breakpoints disappear. Also variables I have declared are not appearing when the breakpoint is triggered. I am in the middle of trying to make a global instantiation of an object work (which is turning out to be no mean task) and the debug problems are driving me crazy (slightly more than the how to create a global variable that can be updated problem is).

I admit I am an old mainframe procedural programmer trying to get my head around new technology after being out of the sharp end for some years but it just does not do what it says it should.
