I'm not sure exactly what your even trying to do but what it sounds like is there is a problem with the levels. What I mean is that when you say . . . gotoAndStop("Play"); you should really have it say . . . gotoAndStop(_root.sphere."Play"); Try that and see if it works correctly. Other than that I would have to ask you upload your source code so that I could look at it. Because explaining problems can only do so much, seeing the actual code is much better. Good luck.
ok, let me check it if not I'll upload the code...
I wans't able to upload the code, don't remember how, but if you can take a look at this file, I'll appreciatte it..
it opens the file rotando6.swf succesfully but it doesn.t go into the movie called sphere which contains the frame I want to load
I'll upload a zip of rotando6.swf if needed...
Ok, here it is
This is the file the preloader loads, but I need th epreloader to load not only the main stage but to go into the movie called sphere and load its second frame which is called Play...
I know it would have been easier if I had done rontando.swf in another way, but right now the dealine is closing so I have to figure out how to make the separate preloader work. Thanks!!!!

This above is not good practice, so open up the source file for rotando6. Click on your sphere clip, open the properties panel, and type in sphere_mc for the <Instance Name>. Then for your script, you would use:
Thanks!!!!! it worked. Really thanks a million...
NSurveyor you beat me to the answer. Glad everything is working for you now.
