Hey guys, for starters Im just an amateur having fun learning flash again with CS3.... If anyone has a sec could you pls take a quick at the nav-bar Ive made in flash (homepg for self & a flash sandbox to play)...
As you can see the graphics look horrible, px break down is so bad : ( ... they were all imported trans png's.. and kept true size 100% to try and reduce this problem.. even exporting swf at 100% image quality, they still look unusable... am I doing something wrong??... pls advise if I can improve the bitmap quality at all?..
What you can try is to access the Properties of each image in the library and select the Allow Smoothing option.
If you have exported all your images so they retain 100% size I would not enable smoothing. They will look 'soft' sometimes in the same way cacheAsBitmap has that effect.
If you're enabling cacheAsBitmap on your objects, try disabling that to see if you get the desired results. There's nothing going on there that's too difficult to handle some constant region redrawing. You can always re-enable cacheAsBitmap before you slide those menus out and disable it when done just to stay silky smooth.
