OH . I forgot to ask .. Why?
Does anyone else agree?
One word: per core effiziency, which is lower the more cores you have and the warp stabilizer running on just one core, well, you get the idea...
I also suspect that there may be more going on with Warp Stabilizer. I've used other stabilizers in the past that ran faster but did not try and fix things like rolling shutter. It's not that I think that Warp Stabilizer is the best on the market, it's just that it's looking at more and different data to try and take advantage of some different image stabilization technology. It would be great if it were MP aware, but on the other hand, it's also great that you can start it running and continue to work on your project while you're waiting for the stabilization to complete.
The biggest problem most folks run into when using Warp Stabilizer is that they don't render the movie when it's stabilized. Leaving all that data in AE makes huge project files, slow loading, and creates other issues.
Im gonna try a few things .. I also own CoreMelt Lock & Load.
Another part of the slower workflow is that AE saves each composition everytime another composition is loaded into AE. It has nothing to do with the stabilizer.
There should be a way to turn it off. There is no need ( except for being backed up before crashing ) that this operation shpuld be done. It should be done only once at the end when completed with loading all the compostions.
Stabilization needs to occur in edited clips. If you don't the stabization data is excessive for centering the frame. The edit comes from within PP. Once a PP project is ready for the Dynamic Link(s) .. a 30 min clip could have 100s of clips that need to be sent to AE via DL.
To do this with one giant 30 min. clip sends the position tracking data all over the place .. and ruins many frames that would otherwise be fine if the clips where divided appropriatley ..
Try it .. or anyone whom wrote the plug in should try it.
It is a very simple process that I expected to do within a very basic function.
The was PP and AE handles it is ______.
I would love to make a demo video about what is happening. :O
