Warnings and errors are saved in a log file. You can specify the location of the log file under Edit > Preferences > Batch Processing category.
That's great, I will try it in the meantime. But if you want to automate this process is better if each file is saved to the specified Output as it's done processed. that way another task can monitor that folder and proceed accordingly.
Also when processing a batch file using AutoBatch (http://www.evermap.com/autobatch.asp) if the Acrobat batch process fails it displays a popup error message and all previously optimized/ocr files are lost, that's why is so important that this process can save the files in the output folder as they are processed.
I hope this can be taken into consideration in any patch for 9.5 or X
That log feature actually does not work, when a PDF file makes Acrobat to crash, it still displays a dialog box on the server with the crash report, like this below
