I currently have a pdf file on which I've overlaid fields for data entry (the form is a workbook we used to print out for students to fill out, now they enter data online via acrobat.com hosted form).
I like the funcitonality in FormsCentral (especailly being able to point to my website rather than steer everyone to acrobat.com).
a) can I us an existing PDF as the "background" in FormsCentral and superimpose those fields (thus, basically moving from acrobat.com to FormCentral.com); or,
b) can I add some of th efunctionality from FormsCentral to what I've already got in place with acrobat.com? (pointing to a proprietary url?).
FormsCentral currently doesn't support collecting data using an existing PDF form. You would have to recreate your form within FormsCentral.
Thanks, Randy. One question to clarify a different appraoch: I understand I'll have to recreate the form, but can I use the pdf as "background art" and then superimpose the field boxes on top of the picture?
Unfortunately we do not support a background image, sorry about that...
