I have a user here in my company that uses inDesign for making our marketing documents. Currently when he opens a document, he is noticing that the pictures that are linked in the document are needing to be relinked. A few months ago, we changed our file server to a new one. So some of the old files he hadn't opened were still looking for our old file server. He was fine with that. But yesterday, he worked on a document and had re-linked the pictures to the locations on the new file server, and then today the files were linked back to the old server. Once he linked one of the pictures, it found most of them. But he did have to link a few more. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? This has become a bit of a pain for him.
Try doing a Save AS immediately after relinking. I don't have a clue why the new info isn't sticking, but the save as will rewrite the file and might help.
