Welcome to the forum.
How did you attempt to update your Intel graphics display driver?
If you used Windows, or any driver update utility, then the info offered is probably 6 mos. out of date.
You should go to the Intel Web site, plug in your chip's number and your OS, then check for an updated driver.
If you have a Dell, Lenovo, HP, or similar, check their Web site first.
Unfortunately, Intel makes good chips, but has horrible driver support, and that is why I do not recommend them for video editing, or for heavy Photoshop work, with recent releases.
Do you have a desktop, or a laptop?
I have a laptop
I have sometimes the same issue with my Vista laptop.
I use the 'delete baddrivers.txt' method which is indicated in the link given by John T Smith.
And it works.
For Vista the link is the same as for Win 7.
Merci à tous
I rename "baddrivers.txt" and PRE9 runs normally again
