This may depend on your output settings. What will they be?
Sorry it took so long to reply. The project will end up being mastered out for broadcast at 59.94i. However, it's my understanding that I can keep it progressive in my system until it goes to the post house so I think I will master it on my system at 29.97p.
Hope I answered the question. I'm quite surprised on how difficult it is to get an answer to this question. Of course, I might not be posing the question in quite the right way. For what it's worth, half my footage is Red and P2 at 24p and the other half is 29.97p.
The problem here is mixing frame rates. Best advice is don't do that.
I've always followed that advice, so I'm not sure how to make this work.
I have been forced into similar situations where my
delivery format is 29.97i, and half of my footage is 24p.
I have always chosen to edit in a 29.97 timeline and allow AME
to add the 3:2 pulldown to the 24p clips on export with good result.
One proviso... I'm using CS5.0.3, but I assume the same applies to 5.5.
