i shot a video with sony z5 u, but unfortunately the person i was shooting the video for did not allow me to use any external lighting and it was a night event. So had to use the existing light. The video was shot on 12dp. now when i see it on premiere, obviously the lighting isnt good, so my question is their a filter or after effects procedure where in i can increase the brightness, but without too much grain showing.
thanks in advance.
For what it's worth I find the following quite helpful:
1. Shadow/Highlight filter (NOT auto setting) - try various settings to see if you can improve the darker images.
2. Apply Neat-Video (Reduce) filter. This is a reasonably priced filter which works well in Premiere. Again - try different settings until you get some improvement. It goes without saying that this will only be a compromise.
Both Magic Bullet Looks and Colorista can adjust 'exposure' in stops. Works pretty well.
thanks, will try it out and let you know how it worked out.
