There is no way to do it automatically. But you can export a CSV or Excel file from FormsCentral and import it into Access.
Thanks for the quick response; but in this case I'd rather wait longer for a response that would meet my needs.
Simple field names would be helpful. The long questions do not serve well as field names. The program is great for collecting data; but useless for using the data that is collected. One would assume that if you're collecting data - you might want to use it.
Waste of money... Bigger waste of time.
You can change the column names in the response tab to whatever you want. They don't have to match the actual field labels.
Sorry we don't meet your needs right now. Could you give some examples of what you would like to do with our service (besides connecting to Access)? We are continuously adding features and we prioritize around what customers are asking for. Any details you could provide would be much appreciated.
Appreciate your time and help.
As a commercial insurance agent with a $100MM in revenue privately held independent agency, I spend a great deal of time collecting information from everyone. If you've ever completed an insurance applicaton, you know it is NOT fun; and there is no end to the different types of applications, questionnaires, . This could at lease take the bite out of the process. However, not being able to manipulate the information collected really makes it useless.
Imagine the the client receiving a link to a 'Smart Form', filling in only the informationt that applies to the particular information, and then being able to complete a report, fill in an application, etc. etc. etc. I'll stop now. But, the applications could be endless.
There really should be an interface that could collect individual (new) responses and export them directly in to a database created to accept the information collected.
We're starting to look at adding APIs to FormsCentral, and looking to better understand how customers would use this. Any more details you can provide would be helpful. Are you looking for an API that you will write code against? Or a way to have MS Access point to FormsCentral? In your "Smart Form" idea, would you be write the code for the solution? Someone that you work with?
I presume each form has its associated database, is there some way to connect to it using access or share point?
