When I'm done working on an image, there shold be an easy option to export that image to "publishing friendly" format, that is TIFF with ZIP compression and no layers/masks/channels/paths. I have to do it manually all the time and there is no batch processing for that. Converting to flat LZW leaves the paths and channels and doesn't use ZIP compression.
It would be nice for the "export for print" option to also "render" all the adjustment layers in 16 bits then convert it back to 8bit image for preserving smooth gradients. Even more ideal would be to apply nice adjustable random grain as an option. It would greatly simplify the workflow.
easily done now with a script for that purpose.
there are places you can ask people to write or share PS scripts.
